What is the difference between the Team tab and the Contacts tab?

The Team tab automatically displays the contact details of all members of your organisation. These files cannot be modified by users to avoid errors. The Contacts tab is a free space where you can add your service providers, customers or partners. Each team member can create and modify these files.

How does the contact search work?

The search is performed in real time as soon as you type in the search field. It searches for the surname, first name and company name. The results are displayed instantly without having to confirm.

Can I call directly from a contact record?

Yes. Telephone numbers are clickable and open your calling application. On a computer, this works with applications such as Messages on Mac or Skype. You can also scan the QR code displayed next to the number to dial it from your mobile phone.

Does this feature replace a CRM?

No, and that is not its purpose. It is a simple shared directory for centralising your business contacts' details. If you need to track sales opportunities, a detailed history of exchanges or sales pipelines, a dedicated CRM will be more suitable.

Who can edit shared contacts?

All members of your team can create, edit, and delete contacts in the Contacts tab. The entries in the Team tab are managed automatically and cannot be edited by users.

Is it GDPR compliant?

Yes. Your data is hosted in France by OVH and encrypted in transit and at rest. You retain full control over the information stored: modification, deletion, export. Octopussian provides you with the secure infrastructure, you remain in control of how you use it.
